Hello everyone;

when the statement includes modal +have + been , do we include a form of 'be' in the 'addition'?

" He might have been out of his mind,and so might have been she." is this correct?

No. "...and so might she."

ok..so we don't include 'have been' in the addition;however when giving a short answer should we use 'have been in the short answer; for example:

could he have been out of his mind?
-yes, he could have been.
Is this correct?
