Has anyone ever tried Moroccan Pastry? It's great. If there is a pastry type food that could be called "scrumptious", Moroccan pastry is that food.

I've got a new avatar as all of you can see.

Perhaps there will be more about the Moroccan pastry later.

I just noticed "view more emoticons".

There's some similarity to MiddleEastern pastry. It's sweet, but it's a different type of sweetness. I don't know how to describe it. I think they use nuts and maybe some type of mashed up figs. I'll ask next time I'm there. I've never had Turkish pastry. I once had a few pieces of Turkish candy.

You might recall that I made mentin of Mostafa and his bakery at the other forum. I thought it was out of business. Apparently it is back. More on that later.

That place is evil. They have French pastry and croissants also. I told the guy I thought the place was evil. He knew what I meant and that I was joking.

What they use to make some of the pastries are almonds, honey and pastry crust. The ingredients are simple but tasty.

It sounds like Greek baklava.

It's definitely close. I took notice of that when I had it. It's not as sweet, though.
