I am wondering if my sentences is grammatically correct.

Most political analysts agree that the prime minister has made a terrible mistake when she called for a snap election. Although she remains still in power, her position has become weak and her future as a party leader uncertain.

Say "called a snap election". The phrasal verb "call for" has a different meaning.
Also, take out "still".
