"His friend might be A. or B. but it is not the identity of the friend that interests me most/the most/ best/the best"

Which one (most, the most, best, the best) is correct and why?

Are they all possibile or are there any differences in meaning? Could you explain how to use them correctly, please?

Thanks in advance.

A is B's best friend. B is the best friend A has. A has eaten most of the chocolate, B has eaten less. Between A and B, A has eaten the most.
Does this help?

You don't normally say something interests me best, you say something interests me most/the most

Thank you for Bhaisahab's example. I knew the different.
