dear all,
thank u and happy new year. i would like to ask u the following questions hopefully to find a proper answer for each:
1. what is the relation of idiom to Muti-word verbs (phrasal verbs)
2. what is collocation and what is their relation to Multi-word verbs?
3. what is the difference between prepositional verb and prepositional phrase?
regards,

My take:
What you call a multi-word verb (phrasal verb) is simply a verb of more than one word. Nothing more and nothing less. No big deal.
1. Don't know.
2. Collocation is a relationship between words. Certain words tend to match well with each other and go together often.
3. Don't know.

What I do know:
This is not a chat room.

RonBee, I can guess that "My take" = "Below is my understanding"

so i can say "This is my take" when I wanna express "This is my understanding", right?
