I was wondering if both are correct:
My car has broken.
My car is broken.
The latter sounds more correct to me.
I know break is different from break down and both fits the context but I'm only allowed to use 'break'.

Thanks a lot

Who is only allowing you to use 'break?'

I can't think of a context where either 'My car is/has broken' would be correct.

EDIT: Piscean just thought of one.
