It is about Forklift Safety and he says to revise grammar, seperate into readable paragraphs, and check for hard to understand sentences. EEEK THIS GUY IS HARD HARD HARD

Staying safe on a forklift is a must for the operator and everyone on the job's safety. In 1991-1992, 170 workers were killed nationwide in forklift accidents; most were killed by forklifts overturning, workers being struck, or workers being pinned between things. For the last four years(2000-2004)Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi were federally monitored and 86 workers were killed by forklift accidents where people were either crushed or struck by the forklift. In conclusion to this study, operation of a Forklift should only be done by a qualified professional that has been safety certified and is authorized to do so. Forklifts weigh between twenty and thirty-thousand pounds, making them heavy machinery, and a construction company will not allow anyone to use this type of equipment unless they have passed classroom and on job training. Forklift Operators should always wear long pants and if weather permitting a long sleeve shirt, steel toed work boots, hard hats, work gloves, and safety glasses. A pair of ear plugs and a safety mask or respirator are also a good idea. The operator should not wear jewelry, it can get caught in machinery and cause static electricity. There should always be another person around while operating a forklift, just in case any accidents happen; having a phone nearby to call 911 is a must. As with most construction sites you should not smoke on the forklift. If you are working in an environment where there are chemicals or fumes be sure that there is good ventilation and wear a mask or respirator. Another good point is to always wear your seat belt in case the fork lift turns over; so know where the first aid kit is. Always use the mirrors and the horn to be sure where other people and objects are at all times and that those people are aware of you. Be sure to know how far you are from other objects and buildings so that you don't accidentally knock off your load hitting something, get stuck between something, or catch a person between two things. Be aware of the things above you, powerlines can cause electrocution. Never let someone stand under the forklift, don't even run it until you do a pre-inspection of the machine and you know that no person is anywhere near or behind it. Be sure that the surface you are on is able to support the weight of the moving forklift. If you have to get off of the forklift, completely shut it off before climbing down. It is also very important to make sure that you do a pre and post inspection of the forklift so that any problems can be reported to a supervisor and do so in writing. I hope this article helps but it should never be used as a substitute to a Forklift's operating manual. Another important safety feature is the maintenance aspect of any heavy machinery; so always have the forklift cleaned and repaired and kept in good working order to avoid having a work hazard on your hands.

Forklift Safety

Staying safe on a forklift is a must for the operator and everyone on the work site's safety. In 1991-1992, 170 workers were killed nationwide in forklift accidents. Most people were killed by forklifts overturning, workers being struck, or workers being pinned between the forklift and another object. For the last four years(2000-2004)Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Mississippi were federally monitored and 86 workers were killed by forklift accidents where people were either crushed or struck by the forklift. In conclusion to these two studies, operation of a Forklift should only be done by a person that has completed a forklift safety course and is authorized by a foreman to do so. Forklifts weigh between twenty and thirty thousand pounds, making them heavy machinery and a construction company will not allow anyone to use this type of equipment unless they have been trained to do so.
Forklift Operators should always wear long pants and if weather permitting a long sleeve shirt. Steel toed work boots, hard hats, work gloves, and safety glasses are important to protect the operator's limbs, sight, and head from injury. A pair of ear plugs and a safety mask or respirator is also a good idea. The operator should not wear jewelry, it can get caught in machinery and cause an explosion by creating static electricity. There should always be another person around while operating a forklift just in case an accident happens. There should be a phone on the job site in case there is an emergency and assistance is needed. If there is an emergency you should know where the first aid kit is and how to use it's contents.
Most construction sites do not allow smoking and it should not be done on the forklift. If you are working in an environment where there are chemicals or fumes be sure that there is good ventilation and wear a mask or respirator. Another good point is to always wear your seat belt in case the fork lift turns over. Always use the mirrors and the horn and be sure where other people and objects are at all times. Make sure that everyone knows you are about to use the forklift.
Don't even climb onto the forklift until you do a pre-inspection. Be sure to know how far you are from other objects and buildings so that you don't accidentally knock off your load hitting something, get stuck between two objects, or hit a person. Be aware of the things above you because powerlines can cause electrocution if you touch them. Be sure that the surface you are on is able to support the weight of the moving forklift. If you have to get off of the forklift completely shut it off before climbing down.
It is very important to make sure that you do an inspection after you get off of the forklift so that any problems can be reported to a supervisor. If something is not working right make a report to a supervisor in writing. I hope this article helps but it should never be used as a substitute to a Forklift's operating manual. Another important safety feature is the maintenance aspect of any heavy machinery. Always have the forklift cleaned, repaired, and kept in good working order to avoid having a work hazard on your hands.
