What is the difference between:

1. I bake the cake myself.
2. I bake the cake by myself.

With reflexive pronouns, do we need to put the word "by" before the reflexive pronoun? Please advise, teachers! Thanks soooo much. ^o^

No, we don't need the preposition "by" for all uses of reflexive pronouns.

Your two sentences have different meanings.

1. I bake the cake; I don't buy it.
2. I bake the cake without any help from anyone.
