Hello! :-D

This is a general question for everybody: How do you all pronounce neither and either? like /ai/ or /i:/? Do you pronounce both indistinctively or is it depending on the word before or after?

As for the teachers here, Which one do you encourage your students to use?

Thanks xxx

I had this conversation with a student this morning, and realised that, even as a native English speaker, I do not stick to the same pronunciation when I speak. I use both forms and I cannot find any particular time when I use one or the other. I teach both pronunciations!

I always use /i:/. In general, I avoid diphthongs.
