I think "the Bermuda Triangle is no more statistically dangerous than other areas of the open ocean." means "the Bermuda Triangle is as statistically dangerous as other areas of the open ocean", which is an equal comparison. And in this case of "no more A than B", B is usually an unimportant thing, isn't it?
2. How does "magnetic north" differ from "North Pole"?
