Hello, everyone
Would you tell me whether the following sentences are both correct, please? I think the second one is more grammatically correct, but I'm not sure. Please help me. Thank you.

a) All in all, soon robots will not just be helpful machines, but will think and work like humans.
b) All in all, soon robots will not just be helpful machines, but think and work like humans.

Hi, everyone
I have no idea why the first sentence is correct. Shouldn't we follow the basic rules of parallel structure when we use "not just... but ..." ? "Be" and "will" are different parts of speech, aren't they? Could you help me understand why the first sentence is correct, please? Thank you.

In (b) the 'will' of the first clause works for the infinitive forms 'think' and 'work' of the second.

You're asking about the first sentence. Here it is with different words underlined.
a) All in all, soon robots will not just be helpful machines, but will think and [will] work like humans.
"will be" is parallel with "will think" and "will work".
b) is also parallel if you distribute the first 'will' over all the verbs.
