I have 2 related questions:
(i) Is the word "good" in the sentence below a noun or an adjective ?
It is good for me to do that .

(ii) If I replace the word good by a verb in -ing form, is it a
gerund or a participle ?

Thanks.

An adjective.

Noun use of "good" e.g.

All the good in the world.
Jesus did good.
All people who do good (noun), are good (adj.) people.

Hope that helps.

It would be helpful if you could give an example of that.

Thanks. You answered both of my questions already.
Once I know it is an adjective, I know the other one I have in mind
is a participle.

You're right about it being a participle. another use of good as a noun is the plural 'goods'.

Could you give me a sample sentence? What participle might replace "good" in "It is good for me to do that"?

:)
