Dear teachers,
Would you be kind enough to tell me whether I am right with my interpretation of the expression in bold in the following sentences from Hardy’s “The Returned soldier”?
Collins walked towards home. His limp was gone. He had straighten up and walked briskly, head high, arms swwinging. He seemed oblivious of the weather, his cold, blistered feet and the aching emptiness in his stomac.
oblivious = unheeding; taking no notice of; blind
Thank you for your efforts.
Regards,
V.
