I moved to another apartment. Could I say "the old apartment" to refer to the apartment I just lived in? Or "the former" apartment? Thank you.

You can use both former and old in BrE.

"The former" would be better.
Although "the old" is correct, it means it is not new or modern.

I am not sure, but I think there is something wrong with " I just lived in" . Could you rephrase your question?

To be honest, we use "old" quite a bit more than we use "former" in informal speech. Most native speakers have no difficulty determining the meaning of "old" based on the context. For instance:
"I ran into my old boyfriend at Barnes and Noble, yesterday."
We know you mean your ex-boyfriend and not your 90 year old boyfriend.

It didn't jump out at me when I read it initially, but the more I read it, the more I feel it should be "the apartment I just moved out of".
