2) Is the club generally busy on Friday night?

Are the above sentences both correct? If yes. is there any difference?

With the term "generally" (and "a" in #1) they are similar. Without the term, "generally", 1) with "a" would mean on any Friday night and 2) without "generally" would mean the Friday night following , but if you would pluralize "night(s)" it would mean any Friday night .

Examples:
Is the club generally busy on a Friday night? (Any Friday night.)
Is the club generally busy on Friday night? (Any Friday night.)
Is the club busy on a Friday night? (Any Friday night.)
Is the club busy on Friday night? (The following Friday)
Is the club busy Friday night? (The following Friday.)
Is the club busy on Friday nights? (Any Friday night.)
Is the club busy Friday nights? (Any Friday night.)
Is the club busy Fridays? (Any Friday.)
Is the club busy Friday? (The following Friday.)
