on or in?

Do you say in a jeep or on a jeep? In a Land Rover or on a Land Rover.

Use "in". (Unless you are sitting on the roof.)

But why do we say on the train or on the plane without sitting on the roof?:-?

Cause if English were that easy, anyone could learn it!

Seriously, the larger the vehicle, the more likely we are to use "on." But there are always exceptions to every rule.
