Pls. kindly let me know whether I should use "on" or "in" for the sentence below.

- It will be years before we can recover our investment on (in) this house.

I think it is IN, you invest money in sth. Let see what other people say.

We invest "in" something, such as a house. We do not invest on, so "in" is the better choice.

We have other expressions where we put money on something, such as putting money on a bet, or put money down on something, as a downpayment on a house.
