a. One of our doctors didn't give him CPR. One of his bodyguards did.
instead of
b. It was not one of our doctors who gave him CPR. It was one of his bodyguards.
?

Let's suppose someone says: One of your doctors gave him CPR.
Could one use (a) as a reply instead of (b)?

Many thanks.

It's possible but, as you indicated, it would be more natural for the dialogue to be:

- One of your doctors gave him CPR.
- It wasn't one of our doctors. It was one of his bodyguards.
