Hi All,

I want to know which one is correct

Today I had one or the other work all day
Today I had one or the another work all day

My question is which is more appropriate "one or the other" or "one or the another"

If you want to use 'the', then 'one or the other' is definitely better ;-).
But I can't quite understand the sentence, though.

'Another" means, (roughly) 'an other'. You can't put 'the' and 'a/an' together to make "the an other" or "the another".

I don't understand your original sentence either. Perhaps you mean you worked all day, at either one job or another.
You have a 'job', not a 'work'.
"A job" can mean your work, or it can mean a task associated with your work.
"I have a job as a plumber. I did three jobs this afternoon." You fixed three people's plumbing.

What if i want to say about the household chores. would that also be called "job".

Can I say; " I am generally busy all day long with the household jobs. Today it was the worst as I had one thing or the another"

Household chores, household jobs or simply housework. You don't really need to say "the", because it's a generic term for various different jobs around the house.

"I am generally busy all day long with household chores. Today was the worst day because it was constantly one thing or another."

You don't really "have" one thing or another. The usual phrase is "it's one thing or another" or "if it's not one thing, it's another!"

And as someone already pointed out, you do not say "one thing or THE another". It's simply "one thing or another", or it can be "or thing or the other", but never "the another".
