Sorry if my question sounds silly. I wonder if any message in my outbox is considered sent ? I myself think only those mails in the sentbox were sent. But how come there is no ' send ' button for mail in the outbox ?

Great question!

outbox = out going mail = mail going out = mail ready to be sent.

If the mail is still in the outbox, it hasn't been sent.

In my email program, I have three boxes:

inbox, outbox, and sent.

inbox = in coming mail = mail coming in

:?: If it's in the inbox, then it arrived, so why is it called 'in coming'. Doesn't that mean it's still on its way in :?:

It takes no brainer to give an explanation to inbox . Before you click on it you don't what what is in there. By clicking, you sure need a few seconds to open it, and it is on its way to you

If there are messages in your outbox, that means they have not yet been recieved by the person you sent them to.

The main reason for this is that their inbox is full.

The very second I saw this message, my outbox is empty . I think the remaining mail was sent automatically then
