Outstanding Amount

Hi,

All staffs have not yet been paid for six months. And the employer said that all outstanding amount will be paid by next month.

Can I translate the "outstanding amount" to "outstanding salary" in this situation?

I'm translating a document, which contains "outstanding amount", to Chinese. But I asked this question in English.

Why can't you translate it as "outstanding amount"? "Amount" is broader than "salary" and can include/refer to other payments (e.g. reimbursements, incentives, etc.).
