Your suggested sentence is fine. I would say that I have never heard of partake being particularly "humorous" - to me, it is simply old-fashioned. I guess I have probably said it when I'm trying to be "posh", so I suppose that could be classed as humorous.

"I have some really nice wine at home. Would you like to come to my place and partake?"
