"I have this Ipad due to partly saving up money in two years of tutoring math to a student and party my mom gave me some"

- What I mean by this sentence is "I bought this Ipad, 50% because I saved up money in 2 years tutoring math to a student and 50% my mom gave me some money". So is it grammatical to use this sentence in written English?

Thank you so much

Here's my take on this:

"I was able to afford an iPad partly by saving money from over two years of math tutoring and partly through a loan from my mother."
