Hello,

Are these two sentences correct? Is it better to use "before" or "when"?

a) We had been waiting for over an hour before we decided to ask why our food was taking so long.

b) We had been waiting for over an hour when we decided to ask why our food was taking so long.

Thank you.

Both are correct and have the same meaning. I have no preference.
