"Pay money" is wrong grammatically in all occasions as "pay" implies the payment has already been settled with money.

E.g.
I pay for the food.

NOT

I pay money for the food.

Am I right?

It is possible to "pay" with other things.

But it is normally assumed that you are paying in money, so it's not necessary to say so.
