I know there is a subject at school / university that we call "phisycal education". But a friend told me that this subject is also called "exercise education". Is this term correct or just "PE"?

I've never heard "exercise education".

I'm told that in some UK schools it's now referred to as "Physical Training", abbreviated to "PT".

We called it "gym" or "gym class" when I was growing up. The term on the report card is "Physical Education" but I believe my daughters calls it both "gym" and "PE."

Is it really?:shock: We called it that when I went to primary school in the 40s. It's been PE all my working life.

It's always been PE to me too, but a friend who has a school-age child told me her school calls it PT.
