HI

These are perposition rules

at = a piont or place

on = a surface

in = an area or space

I have some questions about the perpositions

1- I read a story entitled "reading on the farm" and another story "reading in the park" they are all areas why do they differ?.

2- what shall I say if someone asked me where do I work

I work at/in mcdonald's.

I will be so grateful if someone answeres this question.

With prepositions the only "rule" is that there are no rules. What you posted is fine as a guide but it's not a rule.

You work at McDonalds or in a McDonalds.

on the surface of the farm=on the farm
in the middle of the park=in the park, not outside the park;-)
