Hello,

I have a sentence out of my personal statement for medical school that I am not sure if it is grammatically correct. I was hoping you may shed some light, and offer suggestions of how to fix it:

"There was a single thought during that time that, even though I was of young age, I remember vividly today"

The spot that troubles me is "... during that time that, even..." It seems awkward to say, so I was wondering if it is correct? If not, what could be a good fix?

Thanks,

Silvan

Change the first "that" to "which" and see if it still sounds odd to you.
