I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Peter always dresses formally. Even when he goes to his local supermarket he wears a tailored jacket and a tie.

Excuse me for asking again, but I didn't understand your post. Was my original sentence not correct?

If I understand correctly, it is a joke, and your sentence is correct.

You could omit the indefinite article before tie, in BrE at least.

I would put a comma after the 'when' clause, a dependent clause.

I agree with Matthew. I would also put a comma after "supermarket" in that sentence.
