I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct. I am not sure if my sentences sound natural.

Peter spent months travelling around Europe, searching for the answers about himself. In the end, he understood he could have stayed at home because all the answers were inside him. He was only lazy to dig for them.

See above. I'm not sure about "searching for answers about himself". The definite article certainly isn't needed but the entire phrase doesn't really work for me. Generally, the term used when people go travelling like this, we say they've gone to "find themselves". However, if you use that, the rest of the piece wouldn't be appropriate.
Perhaps you could use something like "searching for answers about life".
