I am wondering if my sentences are grammatically correct.

Peter went out for a few pints, but woke in a ditch the next morning without remembering anything from the previous evening. He blamed the memory loss on the bad quality of beer, which chemistry must have affected his brain cells.

See above. I imagine Peter knows he is just deluding himself - it was nothing to do with the quality of the beer, just the quantity!
