Is a phrasal verb and verbal phrase the same? Describe their structures and how they function?

Not reaally- a verb phrase is a group of words around a verb, including auxiliaries, complements, adverbs, etc. A phrasal verb is a verb plus prepositions/particles that change the meaning of the ariginal verb (like give up). A phrasal verb is really a subset. ;-)
