Is this sentence OK? Also I want to use the verb encourage in the meaning to "to help something to develop or happen". Is the use in the following way OK?

Playing games at school will encourage more social interactions among children.

The use of "encourage" is fine but use "interaction" (singular). I'd also use "the children" because you're specifically talking about those children at school who get involved in playing games.
