[Grammar] pleasant / pleasantly

I have searched on the dictionary which pleasant means happy.
If pleasant used for the question, it will mean pleasant was she.
If pleasantly used, it will mean she felt happily.

I'd rather to 'pleasantly'. Since I have without the actual answer so I came here. Thanks.

After a linking verb (like "was") you use an adjective. It is describing the person, not the manner in which she exists ("was").

"She felt happily" is not good English. She felt happy. She was pleasant.

You would use the adverb to describe an action verb. She answered the phone pleasantly. Here "pleasantly" describes how she answered.
