What is wrong with this? "Mom went shopping. Mom cooked after that. Then Mom ate her food." Is this correct English, or is this. "Mom went shopping. She cooked after that. Then, she ate her food."

Not necessary to repeat "mom". Your second example is better or another: Mom went shopping. After that she cooked and ate her food.
