The goods have (now) been loaded (as requested) / were loaded today, however, there are 10 boxes left which could not / cannot be loaded due to a lack of space in the container.
Please let us know your shipping instructions for these remaining parts. Our packing list is enclosed.

Just my 2 cents,
Snowcake

You can use the article, but it is generally omitted in this kind of communication.

:?:If "in the container" to be omitted, the sentence should be "which could not be loaded due to the /a lack of space. Right? Please.

No; that has nothing to do with "the" or "a" before the words lack of space.

"cannot be loaded due to lack of space in the container.

Other examples:
cannot be loaded due to shipping schedule.

cannot be loaded due to bad weather.

cannot be loaded due to working conditions.

"due to" means "because of"

You can place an "a" or "the" in front of these words, if you think it sounds better.
