Could you explain the following in bold in easy English?
In today's much leaner organizations managers type their own letters and do their own filing, book their own travel and do their own research on the internet. Many also perform a technical or specialist role in their companies. There are relatively few "pure" people managers. When managers are busy with urgent personal work, it is easy to neglect the important (but usually not urgent) people-management topics. Nevertheless, expectations of managers have not reflected the reduced time available for management itself; if anything, people expect more from their managers.
Is this saying "people expect too much from managers, even when they don't have enough time for management?"
Thank you.
