Question:
You are living in an English-speaking country and want to arrange some English lessons to help with your job. You notice an advertisement for an English teacher who lives nearby.
Write a letter to the local teacher. In your letter:
* explain where you saw the advertisement
* say what and why you want to study
* suggest where and when you would like to study
Answer:
Dear Sir/Madam,
My name is Rahul, I am living in Sydney. Recently, I moved from India to Australia. I would like to join the English course which can help my work related problem.
Today morning, I bought the "Sydney Herald" newspaper which has the classifieds section. I noticed an advertisement saying the "English Course" has been conducted for learners with the address and telephone details.
Since I moved to Sydney from non-native English speaking country, I am finding difficulties to cope up with native speakers. I would like to improve my listening and vocabulary skills, which can help to complete the job perfectly. My job responsibility is to gather the information from the client. Sometimes, I am unable to understand their vocabulary and accent.
In the advertisement, I have seen the branches which are conducting the English training in Sydney and Melbourne. I would like to join the Sydney branch which is nearest for me and like to start the course from next month 1st week onwards.
I hope to hear your response soon.
Yours faithfully,
Rahul.
