Hi there,
Are they plural or singular?

1. Teachers usually spend a lot of time preparing for teaching (material or materials).
2. Students should do revision OR revisions each day after school.

Sorry, I don't agree with you.
revision is an uncountable noun according to Longman Dictionary,
noun
She did no revision, but she still got a very high mark.

Hi

According to Oxford Advanced Learner`s Dictionary of Current English [ A S Hornby with the assistance of A P Cowie and J Windsor Lewis] the word revision is both countable [ e.g. after two revisions] and uncountable.
