preposition + the Internet

Which prepositions can we use when talking about the Internet? I'm sure it can be on the Internet and over the Internet. But can we say through the Internet (e.g watch TV through the Internet) or by the Internet?

'Through' is used. 'By' seems wrong to me and I have never heard anyone use it.
