i posted this a minute ago, but can't find the post on the list, so i appologise if it is redundant:

i wonder how i can express correctly the following thing:
i have a chart that displays the arithmetic mean (total value/total number) of some data, every 5 minutes.
Is this correct?
"Currently it shows an average of the values of payments to the number of payments over the selected period of time"

I wouldn't use "currently", unless it has changed or will change.

I would say: This chart shows average payment amounts over the selected period of time.

I wouldn't use 'selected' unless it were possible to change the five minutes.

the chart does change every 5 minutes and it is possible to be changed after i get the response from whom i send the letter to
again i may have written an incorrect sentence, feel free to correct me

Hmmm. I assumed that there was a period of time over which those five minute averages were spread. :wink:
