[Grammar] Present perfect vs past simple

Hello, which option should I use here:
Ouch, something bit me
OR
Ouch, something has bitten me
I think I should use the second option, because there is a result such as pain or discomfort but I'm not really sure . So, please help me

Why would resulting pain or discomfort have any bearing on your choice of tense?
