[Grammar] Present perfect

Hello there!

I need your help, I'm suddenly completely confused!

Can we say: "He has waited for week"?

I suppose it would be better to say "He has been waiting for a week" but is the above sentence correct, though?

Yes it is okay to say the following:

'He has waited for a week.'

The sentence with present perfect continous is more active/dynamic and is more natural in this situation:

'He has been waiting for a week.'
