boss): I quit! or I'm quitting!/ I resign! or I'm resigning?

Which are best?

I would normally expect to hear "I quit!" though it does suggest a somewhat spur of the moment decision - "Right. That's it! I've had enough! I quit!" but it would be appropriate in the middle of an argument.
