Is the use of "present" in the following sentence correct grammatically and conceptually? If it is not , kindly suggest ways to make it clearer.

Dan Zhao et al. [59] experimentally investigated a one-dimensional (1D) model of a thermoacoustic combustor with entropy waves and a mean flow present in order to study and predict intrinsic thermoacoustic instability and pertaining phenomena.

What do you mean by 'a mean flow present'?

"Pertaining phenomena" doesn't work. Do you mean related phenomena?
