How must we say properly in English the idea of presenting something new to an audience, a city, a Festival?

How to say somebody presents to an audience a book, a CD, a work of art just released?

What about a show, a movie, a play?

Is the verb "to introduce" the right one? Is there several verbs according to the item, the place, the occassion?

Thank You for your hekp

Some suggestions. I'm sure there are others.

Thank You for your concern but maybe I have not expressed myself properly. What I'm asking for is if the verb "to present" is already enough in each example I've writen, or if, on the contrary, there are verbs more suitable depending on the case.

For book, CD and work of art, you can use 'launch' besides 'introduce'.
For movie, show or play, 'premiere' is appropriate.

not a teacher.
