Jane and Andy________(wait) at the airport in Cape town to catch
their plane back to London. They _______(be) on honeymoon in South
Africa for four weeks and they_______(feel) very relaxed.
They_____(not wait) long when their flight_____(announce) over the
tannoy :"Flight to London _____(leave) in one hour." As
they______(make) their way to Gate 4, Jane and Andy_______(hear)
another announcement:"Flight to New York________(delay) due to a
technical fault. Will passengers please go to Gate5 and wait there for
further information"
"Oh dear!" said Jane"I ______(hope)people _______(not get)
confused. What ________(happen) if someone ____(get) on the wrong
flight?"
"_____(be) silly", said Andy."All boarding cards______(check)before
anyone______(allow)to board the plane"
They arrived at Gate4. Two hours later they still______(not board)
their plane, and no explanation______(give). Then were both flights
ready.
"At last!"said Jane"We_______(wait) at this airport for nearly five
hours by the time our plane_______(take)off!"
There were only two flight attendants checking boarding cards. They
worked very quickly and soon Jane and Andy______(sit) comfortably in
their seats.
"Good evening!"said the pilot"Welcome to flight to New York"
Jane and Andy both______(leap) to their feet and run to the front of
the plane. Fortunately the pilot _________(not start) the engines and
