Thanks Ripley

Football clubs tend not to use 'the', unless using their nicknames.

Liverpool Football Club (not The Liverpool Football Club)
Leicester City Football Club (not The Leicester City Football Club)

The Gunners (Arsenal Football Club's nickname)
The Hornets (Watford Football Club's nickname)

Hope that helps. ;)
