It seems that some people pronounce "medicine" differently depending on its meaning, i.e. whether its means medical science or a drug. Are you the person who distinguish between these different pronunciations?

To my knowledge, the former is pronounced as "medisn" and the latter as "medsn."

I'm not aware of it having anything to do with the intended use of the word. I use the full three-syllable pronunciation no matter what I'm referring to. My late grandfather used the two-syllable version.
