I need some explanation for punctuation
Which sentence(s) of the following is correct (in terms of punctuation)-

1.He is a man named Jim, is he an honest man?
2.I asked him, where do u live?
3.I asked him where he lives.
4.Where do u live, how do you live and where are you from?
5.I want to say that do we need food to live?

Could you pls tell me which of the above sentences is correct/incorrect WITH reason (only in terms of punctuation).

=> Two subject-verb pairs means two clauses.
=> He is a man named Jim. Is he an honest man?

2.I asked him, "Where do you live?" :tick:
=> Use a comma before reported speech.

3.I asked him where he lives. :tick:
=> where he lives functions as an object; e.g., I asked him about his life; I asked him for a book; I asked him to help me.

4.Where do you live, how do you live and where are you from? :tick:
=> Three clausal units; e.g., three noun units: I want a book, a pen and some paper.

5.I want to say that do we need food to live? :cross:
=> I want to say do we need food to live? :tick:
